Butterfly Garden at Vedanta Limited, Odisha
Introduction
At Vedanta Limited in Jharsuguda, Odisha, Ladybird Environmental Consulting is creating a butterfly garden. As the name implies, it will be a secure paradise for the butterfly garden. The Butterfly Man of India, Mr. Isaac Kehimkar, and our site architect, Vistasp Mehta, conducted a preliminary survey that indicates encouraging outcomes for the construction of the Butterfly Garden. A 3600 square metre area will be dedicated to this secure habitat for butterflies.
Currently, the plantation of the nectar and larval host plant is going on at the site, along with the development of a pond and pathway trellis for climbers—bamboo fencing for the garden.

Plantation: Approx. 7000 saplings (4000 hostplants, 3000 nectar plants)

Types of plants: 10 Tree species, 20 shrubs and 5 herbs
Number of Educational Signages: 15 exhibits about butterflies and 51 plant signages

We will provide plant list, plantation layout, various installations for visitor engagement. Currently we are waiting for our work order.
