We conducted a volunteering camp at Kehimkar’s Butterfly Garden, Karjat, on 2nd December with 16 participants from SoftwareONE. Activities included tree tagging, ring weeding, rice husk mulching, plantation bed counts, and check dam construction. Participants also set up butterfly baits and explored Tembhere Caves on a guided trail.

We conducted the Biodiversity Survey at Etapalli from 23rd October to 27th October, marking the 5th and final survey of the project. This step is crucial as we move toward developing the Biodiversity Park in the area. Our team meticulously completed the survey, recording fascinating sightings, including the caterpillar of the Atlas Moth. These observations highlight the rich biodiversity of the region and underscore the importance of preserving such ecosystems for future conservation efforts.
We conducted Invasive species removal activity at Taloja Hill Forest for Tata Realty, where 29 participants joined and successfully removed 2000 saplings of invasive American Mint. This impactful effort during Wildlife Week creates space for native species to thrive, boosting the ecosystem's health. A big thank you to everyone for their hard work and dedication to nature conservation!
We conducted biodiversity surveys for Lloyds Metals and Energy in Gadchiroli over six months to support the development of a Biodiversity Park in Etapalli. Covering five key sites, we recorded 565 species, including plants, insects, herpetofauna, birds, and mammals. Highlights include sightings of Near Threatened species like the Indian Monitor and Alexandrine Parakeet, and a range extension of the Orange Spot Jewel moth. These findings highlight the region’s rich biodiversity and emphasize the importance of conservation.
On June 26th, a team of 21 Tata Realty employees joined a nature trail and clean-up drive at Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Participants collected non-biodegradable waste like plastic bottles and bags, contributing to environmental conservation. Along the trail, they explored the park's biodiversity and learned about waste segregation and reduction. Thank you to everyone who made this initiative a success! Together, we can create positive change.
On June 16th, we conducted an Employee Engagement Programme for TCL Company at the scenic Baner Hills, Pune. A total of 78 employees participated in a Check Dam Building activity, successfully constructing 4 check dams. This event, in collaboration with Vasundhara Abhiyan and facilitated by Mr. Arvind Patole, began with an introduction to LEC and the importance of check dams. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this initiative a resounding success.
On June 1st, we conducted a successful plantation drive for the State Bank of Mauritius at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Khindipada. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 26 individuals who collectively planted 30 saplings. We were honored to have Ms. Priti Choghale lead a nature trail for our participants, providing an enriching experience amidst the beauty of nature. Together, we are contributing to a greener and more sustainable future
On May 3rd, with the generous support of 50 dedicated Tata AIG employees, we transformed ordinary oil cans into vibrant garden containers for the Palaspada slums in Mulund. Each container, beautifully decorated and filled with seeds, symbolizes hope and sustainability. These containers will soon find new homes with students from iNaturewatch’s Environmental Stewardship Programme, fostering a greener and brighter future.

Our team meticulously explored various locations within a 5-kilometer radius, where they conducted thorough examinations. The invaluable insights gleaned from this research will play a pivotal role in the establishment of the Biodiversity Park at Etapalli, significantly contributing to the conservation and preservation efforts in the area.
On the occasion of Earth Day, we conducted a cleanup drive for Morgan Stanley at the Charkop wetland in Kandivali. 75 dedicated participants participated in this initiative. Their collective efforts successfully restored the natural beauty of the wetland by removing a staggering 1,000 kg of non-biodegradable waste. This significant contribution underscores their commitment to environmental conservation and sets a powerful example for community-driven ecological stewardship.
Our team of experts conducted the second biodiversity survey at Etapalli. With the generous support of Lloyds Metals, we were able to undertake this survey, laying the groundwork for the establishment of a new biodiversity park in the region. During our survey, we meticulously explored various locations within a 5-kilometer radius, with a particular focus on the Ekra site, conducting thorough examinations. The invaluable insights gleaned from our research will play a pivotal role in the establishment of the Biodiversity Park at Etapalli, contributing significantly to the conservation and preservation efforts in the area.
A comprehensive bird survey was recently carried out in Gadchiroli's Etapalli Forest, facilitated by the backing of Lloyds metals for the establishment of a new biodiversity park. The primary objective of the survey was to gather crucial data pertaining to the park's avian inhabitants. Over the course of five days, a remarkable 75 bird species were meticulously documented, significantly contributing to our knowledge of the region's diverse ecosystem.
